Abbott's Wants Halloween Magic Articles, Stories, Patter, etc

Abbott's is compensating magicians for articles about Halloween Magic.  For all accepted articles you will be entitled to all 3 volumes of Strange Secrets, a $25 value.

Abbott Magic is putting together one of the largest collections of Halloween Magic information ever assembled.  The articles will be scheduled in to appear in the online issues of TopsMag in  September and October of 2011.  Currently we have over 100 articles already uploaded and scheduled for this time period (you can see some of the articles in the promotion of the event here which has not been released to the general public at this time).

Articles should be written in a text editor such as notepad or wordpad (available in your accessories in windows).  Macintosh text editors are fine as well.

Articles must include one picture (they can have more, but we need at least one).  This can be a picture of the effect, event, or even a picture of you.

Articles that involve magic secrets are acceptable but will be password protected by us to prevent access from the general public.

Articles must be your original works.  Please do not send info from books,blogs, newsletters, etc. that were not your writings.

Articles will be accepted up until 1 September or when our supply of Strange Secrets runs out.

Articles may have a link to your website as well (there will be plenty of traffic coming in for these articles and you should get some good quality traffic).  If you do not want a link that is fine as well, its just an added incentive.

Articles we are looking for include (but not limited by) the following...

Halloween Magic Patter - Patter/routines for standard magic effects that makes them spooky magic effects

Halloween Magic Tips - Makeup, patter, effects,setup, backgrounds, backdrops,lighting, etc

Halloween Magic Stories - Magic seance stories, magic spook show reviews, etc

New Halloween Magic - Are you an individual marketing a new effect for Halloween, give us an honest review or description, a youtube demo, and order information and we will post it.

Self Promotion - Do you do a magic spook show?  Tell us about it and give ticket info

Abbott Magic has put aside 100 of each volume of the Strange Secrets 3 Volume Set for this endeavor.  All articles accepted for publication will receive all 3 volumes free.  You may pick them up at the store, or pay $5 shipping to get them shipped anywhere in the U.S. 

This is a legitimate $25 value for your time in writing.  Whenever a business is compensating you for publishing an article,it makes you a published author and that looks good on any resume or website.   

Abbott's reserves the right to accept or reject articles.  If your article is accepted you will be notified immediately and your 3 volume set will be waiting for you at Abbott's.  If you have a particular date in Sept or Oct you would like your article scheduled for we will do the best we can do accomodate.  However we do not wish to have 15 articles scheduled for 1 day and 5 for another, so we are trying to work it evenly across the board.
